# Activating Smart Order Routing Rules

Once you've completed rule testing and reviewed the **Score Breakdown**, **Score Comparison**, and updates to the **Rules** tab, you can save your ruleset. By default, any saved ruleset is assigned an **Inactive** status. You can then choose to delete the ruleset or activate it to override your existing allocation logic.

Activate a ruleset when you’ve completed testing and determined that its performance meets or exceeds your current fulfillment goals.

<Note> Only one ruleset can be active at any time. </Note>

## Setting a Saved Ruleset as Active

From the Smart Order Routing Dashboard:

1. Hover over your **Fulfillment Health Score** to reveal the **Browse Saved Rule Sets** button at the top-right corner of the card.

2. Click **Browse Saved Rule Sets**.

The **Saved Rule Sets** window opens. You can view the details of a rule set by selecting its name.

3. Hover over a rule set in the list to:

   * **Delete**: Click the trash icon to open the **Delete This Version** window.
   * **Make Active**: Click the checkmark icon to open the **Activate Rule Set** window. Activating the rule set will deactivate your currently active one and start a new performance cycle to recalculate your **Fulfillment Health Score**.

### From the rules details screen

While viewing a ruleset's details, you can:

* Click **More Actions** to do one of the following:

  * **Save As New Version**: This will copy the current name of the ruleset and add an updated version number to the name. For example, Ruleset V1 is saved as Ruleset V2.
  * **New Blank Version**: Starts a blank version with no prior configuration
  * **Rename**: Changes the name of the ruleset. fabric suggests that you rename and version your rulesets.
  * **Delete**: Clicking delete displays the **Delete This Version** window with the ability to permanently delete the Ruleset.

* Click **Test It** to recalculate the scoring metrics.

* Click **Make Active** to display the **Activate Rule Set** window with the ability to set the ruleset status to **Active**. Doing so will deactivate your previous ruleset and start a new performance cycle to recalculate your Fulfillment Health Score.
