Some of fabric's products are undergoing name changes. OMS is becoming Orders, but you may see the old name in some places as we make the transition.


The Attributes menu has tools that let you create custom options for customers to select at checkout, like gift wrap, gift messages, flat fulfillment/white glove services, etc.

To navigate to the Attributes page, click on Settings in the left menu and then select Attributes. The Attributes page is divided into two sections: SKU Attributes and Location Attributes. SKU Attributes apply to individual items in your inventory, while Location Attributes apply to locations in your network.

Both the SKU Attributes and Location Attributes pages show a list of all Attributes you have created previously. You can edit a previously created Attribute by hovering over its name in the list and clicking the pencil icon at the right.

To add an Attribute, first select the type of attribute you’d like to create, whether SKU or location and click the Add SKU Attribute or Add Location Attribute button. Fill out the following information:

  • Add Attribute Name: the attribute’s name

  • Select a Data type:

    • String for an attribute that will contain characters like gift messaging
    • Boolean for attributes with yes/no or true/false options
    • Number for an attribute that will contain a number
  • Description (Optional): choose whether the attribute will apply to the entire order, or only to select SKUs.

  • Is this attribute mandatory: use the toggle to choose whether or not this attribute is mandatory

When finished, click Add Attribute.

Shipment Methods

The Shipment Methods menu has options to set up details like shipping costs, duration, freight options, and restrictions.

To add Shipping information, first click on Settings in the left menu and then select Shipment Methods. On the Shipping and carriers page, click Add Shipping and fill out the following sections:

Basic Information

  • Carrier name
  • Shipment cost: the shipping cost you charge the customer
  • Shipping description (optional): e.g.; "Guaranteed delivery by 9PM tomorrow"
  • Channel: US Web or CA Web
  • Shipment tax code: the code provided by your tax service

Carrier SLA

  • Minimum days to deliver
  • Maximum days to deliver
  • Cut-off time: the daily deadline for a warehouse to process the last order

Freight options & Restrictions

  • Minimum and maximum fields for an item’s weight, length, width, and height

Product Selection

Choose whether the Shipping and carrier rules apply to specific products only, or to a purchase’s entire cart value.

  • To specific products: use the Add Products button to select eligible products
  • Cart Value: enter a minimum and maximum cart value

When you’re finished configuring the Add Shipping and Carrier attributes, click Save at the top-right of the page.
