Attribute value transformers help ensure your product attributes match retailer expectations. By applying simple transformation rules, you can automatically convert attribute values, such as color, material, or size, into standardized formats that align with the merchant’s requirements. This improves data consistency, helps avoid common rejection reasons during proposal reviews, and increases the likelihood that your products will be approved and published without delay. For example, if a retailer expects “Color: Gray” and your catalog lists “grey” or “silver,” a transformer can automatically map those values to the correct format—without requiring you to change your original source data. The following examples show how transformations can help standardize values:

Creating a Transformer

  1. Click your business name in the menu at the top of the page in Dropship and click Supplier Settings. The Supplier Settings page is displayed.
  2. Click Attribute Value Transformers. The Attribute Value Transformers page is displayed.
  3. To create a new transformer, click Create Transformer.
  4. Provide a transformer name.
  5. Click Save.

Editing Transformer Attributes

  1. Click your business name in the menu at the top of the page in Dropship and click Supplier Settings. The Supplier Settings page is displayed.
  2. Click Attribute Value Transformers. The Attribute Value Transformers page is displayed.
  3. To add transformation attributes, click on a transformer name. The Edit Transformer page is displayed.
  4. In the Transformation Attributes section, click in the search field.
  5. Search through the list of attributes or begin typing the name of the attribute you would like to add.
  6. When you find the desired attribute, click it to add it to the list of your transformation attributes. Attributes you’ve added will appear in a list below the search bar.
  7. To set up the transformation, click on an attribute you’ve added. The Edit Transformations page is displayed.
  8. In the Attribute Value Match field, enter your value; the original value you want to transform.
  9. In the Transformation Output Value field, enter the standardized value that will replace the original when data is submitted or synced.
  10. Click Create.
The transformation is active.
