For suppliers operating across multiple sales channels or processing high order volumes, fabric’s safety stock feature provides an inventory buffer that protects against overselling. By reserving a safeguard quantity, fabric safety stock helps minimize order cancellations caused by stock discrepancies.

Procedure

Merchants can enable a marginal safety stock for supplier connections by following these steps:
  1. Click the Suppliers tab from the top navigation bar.
  2. Using the search bar, enter the desired supplier name and select it. The Supplier Detail page for the selected supplier is displayed.
  3. Within the Connection Detail section, click Edit. The Update Settings window is displayed.
  4. In the Safety Stock # field, add a safety stock value.
  5. Click Save Settings
The new Safety Stock value is displayed within the Connection Detail section for that supplier.
