Are you using the most up-to-date version of the merchant’s template?
Cause:Suppliers must use the merchant-defined import template, and merchants may update their templates at any time. Using an older file can cause compatibility failures. Resolution:
Always download a new blank template in Dropship before creating each proposal. This ensures you are working with the latest template version and merchant requirements.
Do the items exist on another active proposal?
Cause:fabric Dropship does not allow items to be created on a new proposal if they already exist on another active proposal (for example, not completed, declined, or archived). Resolution:
- If the new proposal includes updated attributes for items already in an active proposal:
- Archive the original proposal and the failing proposal, then create a new proposal containing the desired items.
- If the new proposal does not include updates:
- Archive the failing proposal and contact your merchant partner to confirm the anticipated approval of the original proposal.
Are the items already permitted to the merchant?
Cause:If items were previously approved by the merchant, fabric Dropship does not allow a new product proposal for those same items. Resolution:
- Review whether the approved items require enhancements or updates.
- If updates are needed:
- Archive the failing proposal and create a cost update proposal or attribute update proposal.
- If no updates are required:
- File a ticket with fabric support for assistance.
- If updates are needed:
Were the items previously requested for deletion?
Cause:Even if deleted, fabric Dropship maintains a record of the item. Attempting to resubmit it can cause compatibility failures. Resolution:
File a ticket with fabric support to reinstate previously deleted items.
Are failures due to invalid or unexpected values?
Cause:Merchants define proposal rules and required values. If a field is populated with an unsupported value, the proposal will fail. Resolution:
- Review the merchant’s file and use one of the expected values shown in the dropdown or listed in the Expected Values tab.
- If you do not see a dropdown or expected values tab, download a new version of the merchant’s template.
- If expected values are still unclear or missing, file a ticket with fabric support for further assistance.
