Attribute Value Transformers allow you to standardize product and variant attributes by applying transformation rules. This ensures that supplier-provided attribute values are consistently and accurately converted to match your business’s preferred format. Creating a Transformer

  1. To create a new transformer, click Create Transformer.
  2. Provide a transformer name.
  3. Click Save.
Once you have created a new Attribute Transformer, you must edit the attributes.

Editing transformer attributes

  1. To add a new Transformation Attribute, click in the search field in the Transformation Attributes section. A list of all attributes will appear. Search through the list of attributes or begin typing the name of the attribute you would like to add.
  2. When you find the desired attribute, click it to add it to the list of your transformation attributes. Attributes you’ve added will appear in a list below the search bar.
  3. Clicking on an attribute you’ve added takes you to the Edit Transformations page to make changes. The Attribute Settings section allows you to update the attribute for the transformation.
  4. Click the Edit button to search for a different attribute.
  5. Click Update when finished.
  6. The Transformation Settings section allows you to configure transformations for the attribute.
  7. Enter an Attribute Value Match and a Transformation Output Value and click Create. The attributes you create in the Transformation Settings section will appear in the Transformations section below.
  8. Edit an attribute by clicking on its corresponding Edit button.
  9. In the window that appears, you can give the attribute a new Attribute Value Match and a new Translation Output.
  10. Click Update when finished.

Applying a transformer

Once transformer is created, there are multiple screens and workflows where a transformer can be applied such as proposals and products.

Applying a transformer when accepting proposals

When you have open proposals after creating a transformer, you can apply transformations to proposal values.
  1. Navigate to Products > Proposals > Requires Approval. The Proposals page is displayed.
  2. Select a proposal. The Proposal Detail page is displayed.
  3. Click the More button.
  4. Click Apply Transformer. Choose the desired Transformer from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click Apply.
All matching attribute values across all items in the proposal will be transformed.

Applying a transformer when importing products

You can apply a transformer to a spreadsheet before importing products.
  1. Navigate to Products > Import Products & Attributes.
  2. Select a Template from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click Show Advanced Options. Choose the appropriate Transformer from the dropdown menu.
  4. Drag and drop your file to the Select File field.
  5. Click Begin Import.

Applying a transformer to products in your catalog

You can apply a transformer even after items have been added to the catalog.
  1. Navigate to Products > Products. The Products page is displayed.
  2. Select multiple products using the checkbox.
  3. Under the filter and search buttons, click Actions.
  4. Click Apply Transformers. Select the Transformer from the dropdown menu
  5. Click Apply to All Products
